Honda CR-V

The CR-V is a highly versatile car. It has a roomy interior, stable handling, comfortable ride, and excellent safety features. There are no major changes to the 2006 Honda CR-V, except that the stated engine power is slightly lower than last year due to Honda's implementation of a new SAE testing procedure. With ample power, room and refinement, the 2006 Honda CR-V has all you need in a mini SUV.

The Honda CR-V is a four-door SUV that seats up to five people. There are three models: LX, EX and SE (Special Edition). On the LX, you get power windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and a CD player. EX models add keyless entry, alloy wheels, a moonroof, and an outside temperature gauge. The SE includes heated leather seats and mirrors, and on the outside, body-colored bumpers, side moldings, and hard spare tire cover.

The engine is a 2.4-liter, inline four-cyl with Honda's i-VTEC technology. It has a power output of 156 horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque. All models come standard with a five-speed automatic transmission. LX models come in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, while EX and SE models are all-wheel drive only.

For safety, the CR-V includes four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability control, side airbags for front passengers and head curtain airbags for front and rear occupants. It has earned a perfect five star rating from the NHTSA for its protection in frontal and side impacts. In addition, it has been awarded a "Good" rating for the performance in the 40-mph frontal-offset crash test.
