Ford Galaxy :
The Ford galaxy is one of the best full-size MPVs to drive, with a versatile seven-seat interior. It’s easy to drive, simple to park and no more expensive to run than the car you have at the moment.
The Galaxy comes with a 110bhp turbodiesel engine. It returns a fuel economy of 40mpg. There are three types of engines: 2.0 liter, 2.3 liter, and the 2.8 liter V6. The V6 gives a strong turn of speed - but at the expense of economy. Five-speed manuals are standard but many V6s have the optional four-speed auto. There are a number of models available. LX and Zetec models are seven-seaters. Zetec has alloy wheels with locking wheel nuts, electric mirrors, and fog lights. Ghia X models add three-spoke alloy wheels, fog lamps, cruise control, and a CD autochanger. The V6 Si has cruise control.
The elevated driving position of the Galaxy affords a great view of the road ahead. The driver’s seat is very comfortable. The car offers a composed ride, controlled bodyroll and good responses. The steering is quite sharp and well weighted. Gear changes, pedals and controls are smooth, and driving in town isn't too difficult.
In the interior, there is lots of legroom for the front and first rear row passengers. The five individual rear seats can be arranged in a number of patterns to suit all needs. Getting in and out of the third row can be tricky at times.
The Galaxy is an affordable and reliable vehicle. It comes with a three year mechanical warranty.
